In short: Orb has no account, no ads and no tracking. It never uses the microphone. Every sound is made on your phone. Your settings stay on your phone.
Who we are
Orb is made by Frekvens AS, Norway. We are the data controller. Contact: orb@frekvens.app.
What stays on your phone
Your orb settings (beat, tone, sound, balance, timer), your preferences, and whether you finished the intro. We never receive them. Deleting the app deletes them.
What may leave your phone
Anonymous usage events. To learn which features are used and to find bugs, the app may send simple events such as “orb played” or “timer set”, with a random install ID, the app and iOS version and the device model. No name, email, contacts, location or audio. The ID is not linked to you and is not used for advertising or to track you across apps. A service provider processes these events on our behalf.
Purchases. Orb is free. If an optional in-app purchase is offered later, Apple handles the payment and we never see your payment details. The purchase receipt and a random ID are checked by a service provider on our behalf so you can restore the purchase.
Apple Health (optional). If you switch on Mindful Minutes, Orb writes the time you listened to Apple Health on your phone. Orb never reads Health data and never sends it anywhere.
Crash reports. If you share analytics with developers in iOS settings, Apple may send us anonymous crash reports.

Legal basis and retention
We process anonymous usage events on the basis of our legitimate interest in improving the app (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)), and purchase data because it is needed to deliver a purchase (Art. 6(1)(b)). Usage events are kept only as long as they are useful, then deleted or aggregated.
Your rights
You can ask for access, correction or deletion, or object to processing, by writing to orb@frekvens.app. You can complain to Datatilsynet (Norway) or your local data protection authority.
Children
Orb is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal data from anyone.
